well i guess from what i've read i do qualify for AOS and i can't travel unless i have an advanced parole approved and since i'm already in the U.S it's best for me to apply for AOS only now.. i just have one question... i hope someone will answer me ---

if my AOS is approved and i'm planning on going into the ARMY... do i have to come back from wherever i'm at to have the permanent resident approved?? or is my husband required to apply for my permanent residence?? in other words what if he divorces me before the 2 years of conditional residency?? (and i'm only asking this because i told him i want to join the ARMY and he got very upset and well i still want to join the ARMY you know.. does anyone know anything about this??

Your marriage should be more important than your desires.

You can not join the army until your resident status is approved, and it is not going to be approved if your marriage is sham/in the rocks.

    Seek counseling.

my marriage is important i've been with him for 2 years and the only reason he doesn't want me to join is because his brother was killed in Iraq and well he doesn't want the same thing to happen to me... now u're saying that i can't join the army until my residence is approved... do u mean after the 2 year conditional residence?? hey i wanted to ask you.. do u know if it affects me in any way that during the time that i've been here in the U.S i've crossed with my visa b1/b2 to mexico several times?? i have not submitted the AOS paperwork yet.
