Default US Visitor visa ( B2) document validity

I had sent in documents for my in-laws to apply for
B-2, 6 months visitor visa for US. They are planning to go to the consulate by the 3rd week of October.

I want to know how long my documents (dated Aug 22)
are valid ? Will the bank statement on Aug 21 be valid
for visa application on say Oct 25 ?

Does the 6 month period start ticking from the day
the get the visa or the day they enter US ?

Thanks in Advance for the replies.

    Default

Your docs should be valid for about 6 months. So no need to worry.

6 months starts ticking once they enter US. They have to enter US before their visa expires.

By the way, this is wrong discussion forum. This forum is for Canada/Mexico visitor visa. The correct one is "USA Visas/Other non-immigrant visa".
