H-1B Remainder from 2001

Hi,

I was approved for my first H-1B in 1998 and my second in 2001, of which I used only about 6 months. I am currently in the US on an F-1 and won't be able to use OPT. Is there any way I can use the remainder of my H-1B from 2001? Thank you!

I think the quota applies for 6 years. Meaning you could use the remainder option if the H1b was approved in the past 6 years. It may be possible to use, talk to an attorney.
