1st Dec 2008 Visa interview rescheduled to 15th Dec

I had a visa interview scheduled on 1st December 2008 at US consulate, Mumbai. I just received an email from VFS telling me that the interview is rescheduled to 15th December due to Mumbai terror attacks.

The US consulate General Mumbai website also shows the same information.

Has anyone else received such email.

Please share more information regarding this issue.

Can you tell me when did you got email from US consulate?
Also what type of visa you have applied. I mean F/J/M?

I had applied for the visa appointment two weeks back.

My visa category is H1B.

Did you get the same email? I received this email on Saturday afternoon India Time.

No I have not received any email from consulate.
Mine is F1 visa and appointment is on 2nd Dec
