Is it possible to change status of an outside the country petition in USA

I have an L1 A with employer A and have an H1B outside the country petition with employer B. Can I get my status changed in the US itself without going out of the country for stamping. Please let me know.

Yes. You should stop work on L1 immediately upon the COS approval and begin H1b work and get paid from day 1 of the approval.
