visitor visa ext:Husband in India is a good reason

My mom has a 10 yr. multiple entry visa. She is right now with me in US(my father is currently in India). Her I-94 expires on June 15,2004.I'm planning to apply for vistor visa extension to her.As I see from posts the probably of getting approval is more if you show strong family ties to thier home country(property, pension, business etc).

1.My father is in India now. So if I show that my mom will definetly return back to India after 6 more months as she has to take care of my father and properties there. Is this a good reason?

2. My parents visitor visa was sponsored by my brother. Can I apply for the extension or does my brother only has to apply for this extension(as he sponsered the visa)?

Pl share your experiences. Any input is greatly appreciated.
