Default Extension of B2 visa (and I-94)

My in-laws have b2 visa which expires on April 30, 2004. I assume that if they travel to US now, the I-94 stamping would be April 30, 2004.

Is there any possibility of extending their visa and I-94. I was going through the forum and read something about extension of stay when I-94 is expiring. Or is it best to go to consulate for new visa ?.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Prathik.

Your assumption is wrong. They can enter US any time before April 30 and the duration of stay will be determined by the port of entry. They can get 6 months even if they enter on the last day of visa expiry, April 30.
