    Hi
    My father has got IDP (International Driver Permit). Should I take car insurance for him when he drives my car in US ? if so, then please give me some details like what kind of insurance, etc....

    If your father is going to drive your car, which is already under insurance, then there is a chance that your insurance company may allow him to drive it and the coverage is already provided by you. This can be done for a short time period only. e.g In may case, my mom was allowed to drive my car for the first 2 months of her visit (insurance company was Nationwide).. and she did not even have to get an IDP... your indian passport is good enough if it is in English.
