Default Visitor Visa expiry period - clarify please

    1. Will I need my parents passport numbers or any other info of theirs if I make an appointment for their visa interview?

    2. I want my parents to visit me in the middle of May. I heard from someone that sometimes when visa is granted the expiry date on them is just one month from the issue date. This means they have to travel within a month. Is this true?
I was planning on booking a interview date during the first week of March for my parents thinking it will give me ample time in case additional documents are requested by the officer at the consulate or to re-apply in case they are rejected a visa.
    What should I do?

    1. Yes.
    2. If they give 1 month visa, they will have to travel within 1 month.
No one guide here how much visa they will give to your parents.

    Administrator,

    Thanks for the reply.

However, in ques 2, I meant are there cases where people have been given a visa valid for only a month?

Has anybody had such an experience or heard of anyone with such an experience?

    Thanks again.

It is possible that someone has got 1 month visa. It is not possible for us to collect the statistics.

There is no point in worrying right now. If it happens, it happens.
