Is this really being asked by Chennai consulate or your agent is asking for it(you have posted couple of times earlier regarding this.) ?

    Default true

when my agent said , i didnt bother to send . but another friend of mine's parents r also coming from chennai . even their agent has asked them for these docs. even that agent told them that nowadays H1 visa holders should have them .
so to be on the safe side , i just wanted to tell the H1 holders here to send these 2 docs as well .

but i dont know if its just in chennai or in all consulates .

    Please do NOT spread rumors.

Please do NOT write that consulate is asking unless really asked.

Agents don't know much and they can say whatever they want. Can't trust them.
I-129 etc. are not required. Only I-797 is required.

Thousands of people read these forums and news spread fast.

If you post something, so many people read it, tell others about it, start worrying about it, and start sending those documents. Over a time, that will become unwritten rule for everyone and many people may have getting difficulty getting those documents when those are not needed.

I told you not to spread rumors because you wrote 'consulate is asking for those documents' when consulate did not, but you heard it from your agent who has no qualifications to make such comments. When you say something which is not a fact, it is rumor.
