Need return ticket?

Some years back port of entry officers used to ask to show return ticket for visitors.

Do we really need to show them return ticket now?

any ideas.....

Can I know why don't they have return ticket? Are they not planning to go back?

My aunt got 10 yrs visa, even if she got 10yrs visa, she is plannig to go back in 4 months.

I am just wondering whether to take open ticket or one way ticket. Because we are not sure of return date.

If she is planning to go back within max 4 months, buy 4 months open ticket, else buy maximum 6 months open ticket.

If she has got 10 years visitors visa, does not mean she can stay here for 10 years. Read www.immihelp.com/visas/vi...a.html#poe
