    Default Company sponsored H1B transfer

I work in an IT company in India and have a H1 from them issued in Nov 2008. However, the project did not take off and I never went to US.

Now can I get my visa transferred for a job offer from a consultant or another India based IT company ? Please help !

    Sure can. Read the FAQs.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have heard from a few people that it is mandatory that you travel to US first on the original employers visa only after which you can get a transfer. Is it true ?

    Thanks again.
