Default Do I have to notify anyone?

I entered from Canada, just the usual stamp at the POE for visiting, since Im a canadian citizen, no need for a b2. My visit was for 4 weeks, and Im thinking about cancelling my ticket back which Im supposed to next week, and staying another 3 weeks, and driving back with a friend. Do I need to notify anyone since I stated at the POE that my return ticket back home was for next week?
Also, I know Im an adult, but Im 21 and I know my parents will flip when they find out Im staying longer, so Im hoping that doesnt cause any issues either

Should not be a problem, but make sure the extended trip is still within your visit expiry date on your I-94.
