Not Getting salary in Bench

Hi,

I am in US on H1b.My project got over 15 days back.

My Employer says that he cant pay me during bench and asking me to go to India within 2 weeks.Else he tells me to transfer H1 to some other employer.

Moreover am in fixed salary basis and I only paid all the Insurance amount(740$/month).

Is the employer has the rights to send me to India?
Can i stay here and try some other project for some months?

please guide me the legal rights that the employer has got on the employee.

Employer can choose to do it. You have to find a job before your last paycheck. Employer has to pay you and buy you a return ticket. That is the law.
