Duplicate I-797 with EAC number alone

Hi,

My employer never sent me I-797 for H-1, and shared only the EAC number. For H-1 transfer, I guess I would be needing original I-797. Can I get Duplicate I-797 just with the EAC number?

You don't need the original I797 for transfer. The receipt number and online case status print out would suffice if you are sure that receipt number belongs to you.
