I am planning to book ticket for my parents by Air India in May. It is from Mumbai to Newark via Frankfurt. Does passenger needs to wait at Frankfurt airport or in the plane itself during that halt?
Appreciate if anyone has exp or info

you will have to comeout of the plane with your carryon baggage.
we went on a different route (indec08) though- chicago-frankfurt-mumbai and back.
be around the area where your came out of the plane. the time is very short. after an hour or so they will be ready to ask the passengers to board the plane. sometimes they will take you in a transit bus to the plane.
