Need Urgent Advice on H1b -lay off

Hi All

I hv been working on H1b visa for a year.
Now my employer said ,he is revoking all his H1b in 60 days.
and my project is also ending the same time.
Being in bad market and strict INS, companies are nt either transferring H1b or wont do without long term project.

So i dont have much time now.
Please suggest
1. if i can get my visa status(from H1b) into some other work visa(if there is any possiblity).

2.Can i go to some other non-work visa like H4b and keep hold on H1b.
to look for job,when i get job,can i be waived form lottery system or i would have to start the process from scratch.
