    Default visitor(parents) visa question

My parents' visa application was approved with expiry date of Dec 16. However, they clearly mentioned in the form DS-156 and also to the visa officer that they planned to travel to the US in March 2004. What should they do to correct this?

Any help/ideas on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

I am not sure what the question is. Dec 16 2003 or Dec 16 2004?

    Please explain.

My parents applied for visa in June2004 and the embassy gave them a 6 month visa until Dec 2004. My parents had clearly indicated in DS-156 form that they intend to travel to the US in March 2005. Is there a way for them to correct this situation in the current visa or do they need to apply for a new one?

    Thanks for the reply.

    Default You have to reapply

This is the risk of applying for visa well before the planned date of visit.

The officer's decision was to give your parents visa for only 6 months.

This is not an error, so there is no there is no question of correcting it. Your parents have to reapply if they plan to come after Dec 2004.
