Parents on B2 returning next year

Hi,

My parents (B2 visa) came to the US mid-Feb 09 and they got a date 6 months later in their 1-94 (they showed their return tickets at Point of entry). They are planning to come back again next year mid-Jan. Will they get 6 months again (Safe to book return ticket after 6 months?)

They might even go back early (end June - July) this year to return next year.

I'd also like to hear from those who have returning parents every year about how long they get normally.

If they come back within 6 months there is the possibility that they may be asked very tough questions on entry.
So to play it safe it would be a good idea for them to leave as early as possible this time - Mid-Feb to mid-June would be four months already.
