Im a year and a half into my studies on a F1 visa and Im interested in becoming a resident. Can I apply for a green card or naturalization while on a F1? What are my options?

Just like everybody else. F1->OPT->H1B->EB GC.

No shortcuts. There is no automatic category for a student to become a resident.
