GC interview for my mom-- Please help!!!

Hi,
I have US citizenship and have applied for GC for my mother. She will be getting the visa interview call soon. She is 75 yrs old and does not speak English and cannot stand for long time.
I was wondering if there is any exceptions for old person so that they don't have to stand in interview line and get exempted from giving visa interview.
Can any one please help me... she is getting nervous just thinking about it...

The consular officers will try to accomadate as much as possible, I would think, based on that experience. I dont think she will be waived for the interview. Interview questions are basically about her children, where they live, what they do, where the petitioner work, when did your husband die, have you been to u.s? sort of questions. no tricky questions asked, like in visitor visa interview.
my mother asked for translator, so most of her interview was done by the Indian lady officer, and later the American officer asked couple of questions like when your husband died (again), both children living in U.S.?

If your mother is being interviewed here, in u.s, you can take a translator with you. You cannot translate for your mother.
