Citizenship to get GC for Parents & ...

Hi,

Husband, Wife & minor Son is having GC for 5 years and hence all are now eligible for Citizenship application. The primary goal is to
1. Get Citizenship for Son.
2. Apply for GC for parents of Husband.

My questions are:

1. If only Husband applies for Citizenship and gets it then minor Son can become Citizen just by applying for US Passport? Also with this husband's parents application for GC can be done?

2. Is there any difference in cost and/or steps if Husband & Wife both applies for Citizenship versus only Husband applies and later after husband gets Citizenship Wife applies.

Answer: Yes and One can only apply for GC for their parents with their citizenship. I mean husband cannot apply for GC for his In-Laws. Wife needs to apply.

Answer: Each application (Husband and wife) is treated as an individual application.
Cost of $675/application. But the steps are the same.
Bottomline: No savings or extra work other than making multiple trips for finger printing and Interview by applying separately.
