EAD on L2 and H4 conversion

Hi,
I am on L2 visa and have my EAD approved on L2 till 4/2011. My spouse is converting his visa from L1 to H1-B visa. When his visa gets converted to H1, mine will automatically convert to H4 ? If that is the case, will my EAD still be valid and is it legal for me to work on my EAD.
Please advice.

None of the status changes are automatic. One has to apply for it. If not, you become illegal the day the L1 status is not held by your spouse.

EAD is a benefit for L2 holder provided L1 holder maintains the L1 status. If not, it is void and useless.
