Chennai Consulate procedures

HI:

My parents are going to the Chennai Consulate for the 1st time and I would like to prepare them for what will go on from the moment they step inside the consulate - like where to go and what to do. Can someone please post a detailed experience? I have gone through all the experiences and forum questions, but could not find one that has the complete answer.
