waiting for the "request for evidence"!!!Help!

hey guys!
here is my case:
i filed my papers ( recvd by the uscis):10/1/2009
got my 1st notice :10/12/2009

online my status right now shows request for evidence,and that they mailed me on the 15th of october another notice requesting more info..
but i still got nothing..today its 10/19/2009

i called the customer service of uscis ,they said that if i did not receive it after 30 days then i can call for a problem...but right now i have to wait maybe within 30 i will get it..
so i just wana make sure ..is everything going normal in my case??

The online status is often wrong. I would wait for something in the mail. Relax and you will get your Finger prints notice within 2 weeks from the day you get your first NOA.

I am in the same situation, I filed my papers on October 3rd, got my notice of action few days later. The online case status shows that on OCT 15th they had sent me a request for additional info. Yesterday, the 19th I received my fingerprint appointment, but no sign of the other letter.
I called the customer service and they gave me the same answer “wait 15 days and call back"
I am not sure if by receiving the fingerprint app. means that I am all clear to continue the process.

Just wait and follow the course of the action. I know it can be stressful...but what can we do

It looks like the "RFE" status is actually the FP notice.
Somehow that is how it shows up on the "new" "improved" website.

Dont worry, you are never getting an actual RFE.

If you compare the date on the online status and the FP notice you will see it is the same.

No need to be tense, stressed, worried or waiting

hey 292641..
i had the same problem..but on 21 oct i got my FP notice..and nothing about additional evidence..so u will get ur FP soon..the RFE is the FP most of the time..
they tell u ull get ur letter 30 days max..but am sure ull get it way b4..

EAD in "RFE" status past 50 days

Hi Friends,
My EAD process -

07/21/2009 - applied for EAD
07/23/2009 -Confirmation obtained from USCIS in the website
09/10/2009 - RFE
09/11/2009 - Sent the additional documents
09/14/2009 - RFE received status
yet pending

Waiting for the approval it is more than 90 days i had applied for EAD and going to be 60 days since the RFE received.

Let me know when will my EAD be approved.

EAD???, I guess you are talking about Green Card process...right?,
this is N-400 (US citizenship) forum & thread. So, time frame for N-400 is totally different than EAD (or GC) process.
