Default Short term medical insurance for US citizen

I am a U.S. citizen who has just immigrated to Canada (I'm now a permanent resident of Canada). I would like to visit the U.S. for 5 days and I need visitor's health insurance. I haven't yet received my government healthcare card so I cannot buy insurance in Canada. Am I eligible for coverage with you in the U.S. even though I'm a U.S. citizen (but my home country is Canada)? My wife is a Canadian citizen and will also need coverage. Thank you.

I've lived in Canada since July 27, 2009. I'll be visiting Washington State.
