I am currently on an F1 visa and my I-20 is expiring, so I am trying to leave the US and go back home to India. Is a transit visa required?? Because I tried to get one to London, but it got rejected. Now I am going to get one from the Canadian embassy, but they require me to do an interview with them. Is anyone familiar with this process?? This is urgent so some input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I forgot to mention that my ticket is a one way to India. Would I still require a transit visa??
