OPT eligibility

Hi,

I have finished my MS Com engg and took Opt. However my H1 didn't get picked in 2008 lottery, so I discontinued my OPT and joined MBA. Now that I'm graduating this summer 2010, my question is will I be eligible to apply for OPT.

Isn't OPT for those who graduate from US schools?

Ya sure you can apply for OPT...

Because, I was told by a friend of mine that once you leave yourr OPT halfway, you are no longer eligible for OPT.

Please confirm on this as I don't know what should I do after this masters, if Ihave to pay for another masters or phd. you all know it's very expensive here in this country.

You only get 1 OPT per degree level. Since both your degrees are Master's, you may not get OPT again.
