Given 221g Blue for Business Visa on Jan 19 2010..PLease help

Hello Immihelp,

Thanks for your very support and please help me out in finding out the reasons why I have been issued 221g blue for B1 -

Here is my case -

My company sponsored for my B1 Visa
Name: Mohammed Ahmed Shareef
Visa Interview Date: Jan 19 2010
Form Issued: 221g Blue - This says your application needs additional administrative processing and they will get back to me...

Questions Asked:

1) Who is your Client?
2) Purpose?
3) Package?
4) He flipped the pages in my passport and asked did u travel any other countries? I said No?

Then he immediately took blue 221g and issued me that.

** In my Passport, there was a correction of my Father's Name and recently changed the ECNR status in Hyderbad passport office..So I ended up with more stamps in my passport.

Can you please clarify my questions?

What would be the actual reason for delay in issuing the passport? Name/Religion/Passport Corrections?

PLease help me out..

One more thing, my colleague and I attended the intw on same day and same counter..his B1 was rejected(might be because of package - 2.6) and mine kept on hold. VO knows that we both work for the same client.

VO took my passport, DS156, 157 and HDFC slip.

Current status is "PENDING".

Please let me know your suggestions.
