Hello

I was divorced in 1996 and I got married again in 2001 . Well, my dughter through my ex-wife is a US citizen and lives with her mother (my ex-wife) in India for the past 11 yrs. Now my ex-wife ( who is Indian Citizen ) wants to visit the US with my dughter for 6 weeks . She has has come to the US 3 times before once on a visitor's visa and twice on H4 , when I was on H1. Will she have any difficulty in getting a visitor's visa to accompany my daughter.

What would the consulate be looking to convince itself that my ex-wife is not a potentail immigrant?

There is no obvious or full proof way of making sure that consular officer knows that she is not potentially immigrant.
