Birth Certificate for B2 applicant

Hi,

I am planning to get visa appointment for my parents.
Is it required for applicant to carry his/her birth certificate?

My parents do not have a birth certificate. What can be done in this case?

They don't need their own birth certificates.
If you are going to be sponsoring your parents then they need to carry your birth certificate so they can prove their relationship with you.
