go abroad after I485 interview ?

I am a US citizen. My wife and I had her I-485 interview. They said the I-485 was approved pending the security check. We want to go to India for about 9 months because my wife is pregnant and we want her to deliver there. Advance parole and EAD are approved and we received them. Is it possible to change address for the green card to an Indian address while we wait for it ? Can you apply for consular processing after the I485 interview ? If so what form needs to be filed. I read on some forum that it takes many months to convert from AOS to Consular Processing, is it true ?

At the I-485 interview they said approval for I-485 is granted but cannot be processed until security check is completed. I hear this can take months or even years so I am hoping that if we switch the application to consular processing it will become faster ? But how do you change from AOS to consular processing ?
