I need help, leaving for india in 4 weeks i just found out that a usa citenzen cannot live in india for more then 2 months can i please apply for a dual cintenzenship i m originally from india but now holding a us passport please advice..

I heard there is new law that if u r holding a foreign passport u can only stay in India for 2 months.....

There is a new policy that there must be a two month break between visits to India when traveling on a tourist visa. The amount of time that can be spent in India depends on the visa details, but can be no more than 180 days each visit.

The maximum stay each visit on a tourist visa is 180 days, subject to the overall length of the visa. So a person with a five-year tourist visa can visit several times over five years, but each stay can be no longer than 180 days.
