    Default SSN for H1 converted from H4

    My wife got H1 ans she is currently in US. She was on H4. If we need to apply for SSN with the new H1, what are the documents required.

    Please note: she has not got the visa stamped based on the new H1 visa.

    Stamping is not required. Approval notice, valid I-94 and the valid passport are required to get the SSN. Contact your local SSN office for more detail.
