Default Insurance for visit to Ireland

I am getting ready to go to Ireland for two weeks. I leave on May 20th and return on May 31st. Can you email the rating of your insurance company? Additionally, when abroad, how would I locate a provider? Simply go anywhere and they contact you? Or go somewhere specific? I prefer contact by email only. Thanks.

    Hello,

We offer insurance plans from several companies and most of them are rated A "Excellent" or better by A.M. Best.

Outside the U.S., there is no concept of PPO network. You are free to visit any provider.

You can buy the insurance online at http://www.insubuy.com

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
    Thanks & Regards

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

I would assume then that your id card will be recognized by anybody I might need to see and that they would collect only the deductible?

    Thanks for the clarification.

As I indicated before, the concept of the PPO network is only in the U.S. You can visit any provider outside the U.S. It is really up to them whether they want to accept the insurance or not. The providers have no obligation to bill the insurance company directly, no matter which insurance plan you buy from any company. The healthcare system does not work the same way everywhere in the world, as it does in the U.S. Therefore, it is not the feature (or lack of) of any particular plan, that is how the system works in that particular country.

I hope that answers your questions.
    Thanks & Regards
