    Default In-laws got visa

    Hi,
My in-laws went for the visa, today 18 the Feb and got the visa. Thanks to this website for providing all the information and answering my questions.

The entire process took about 15-20 mins. The officer took the DS-156 forms and asked for all the sponsor's documents. While reviewing each of the sponsor's documents he asked the following questions,
Q.Why do you want to go to the US?
    A.Visit son and tourism purposes
Q How long has your son been in the US?
    A.About 12 years, he went in 1992
Q.What did he first do when he went to the US?
A.Went to school did his masters (I think he also asked the unversity name)
Q.Why have'nt you visited US for so long?
    A. Was in service and could not go
    Q. You could have taken a vacation.
    A. We took a short vacation and went to Singapore
(the office checked the visa to Sigapore)
    Q. For how long do you want to go?
    A. 4 months
    Q. How many sons to you have?
    A. 3, The first is in Us(sponsor), second in Australia and third in India. Will be visiting Australia during the end of this year
    Q.Where does your son work
    A. XXX company (the officer checked the paystbs)
    Q. What do you do?
    A. I am retired
    Q. Do you draw pension? How much?
    A. Yes, Rs XXX
The officer took their passorts and asked them to pay their fees.

We do not know for how long they got the visa. Also, they did not ask for any additional photographs, just the one that was on the DS-156 forms.

Thank you for all your help
