my citizenship case number dont work

Hi,i received my receipt and case number for my citizenship application they received it may 3rd i tried checking my case status and it doesnt recognize my case number. Is this normal? Thank you in advance.

you have to include all the letters and numbers and also the asterisk between the letters and numbers (eg NBC*000654321) - the website kicks back a "not recognized" message unless the application number is exactly as shown on the NOA.

I did it exactly as the receipt and it gives me the same response

Don’t worry try your receipt number in about a week again. It seems these days it takes a little longer to enter the data into the database. I experience the same thing for about 3 weeks. As matter of fact I was getting the same response from the Status page till few days before getting my Fingerprint notice.
