    Surrender Certificate Issue

    My wife and I applied for Surrender Certificate/Cancellation of Passport couple of weeks back and received the cancelled passport yesterday along with the surrender certificate. Unfortunately on my surrender certificate, the consulare forget to sign it(i guess). It just have the stamp.

    Will this create any issue when i apply for OCI?

    Will i have any problem at immigration when i travel to india?

    I sent an email with the above questions to the consulate....as usual got not response until now.

    Anyone encountered similar situation? Any idea what to do?

    I have applied for surrender certificate in MAY 24 by mail in NY, not yet received it.

    When did you applied for it?

      I applied the week of 24th. Don't remember the exact date. You should be getting it any time now.
