    Default f-1 visa rejected Should I re apply

    Dear Sir,

    My f-1 Visa rejected on 16-June-2010 at Mumbai Consulate under section 214(b). My profile is:

    Surname: Shah (Gujrati-Jain)
    Born: Bharuch(Gujrat)
    Garduation: PVPP Engineering College (Mumbai) B.E.IT in 2007.
    Currently working with MNC from last 3 Years in Mumbai

    My Interview scheduled at 8.15 AM

    VO (Lady around 35 yrs of age)
    VO (Ques 1): Do you know anybody in US?
    Me: No
    5 sec pause (typing something)
    VO (Ques 2): Do you know Avinash?
    Me: No
    VO (Ques 3): Then Rita?
    Me: NO
    (I really dont know this name)
    VO (Ques 4): Which college?
    Me: NYIT
    VO (Ques 5); When did u pass out?
    Me: 2007
    (She was typing something I knew I was rejected)
    VO (Ques 6): What you were doing since then?
    Me: Working with XXXX company as web developer
    (Again Typing something)
    VO (Ques 7): What is our mother name?
    Me: XXXX

    VO: I cant give you visa
    Me: Thank you Mam

    I think I am rejected because of my Surname Shah looks like that as she asked first 2-3 ques like that.

    What is your suggestion?
    Should Reapply after 15 days

    Default Visa Rejection

    Hello,

    If your visa was rejected it is not because of your last name. There are many reasons for a visa rejection. You can look at this link http://www.immihelp.com/visas/refusal.html and it may help you.
