Smile Wether to take an Auth or not?..

    Hello there.
Thanks for this site, it always helps me in every step since I came to US.
I just passed the test and interview for citizenship, but I didn't do the Oath yet.
I want to go to my home country and I just realized that as a US citizen I will need a visa to go there and the counselor said that I'll be refused a visa, because I am going to refuse my home country's citizenship, and it is not permitted to have two citizenship while staying there.
By Law I am not a US citizen until I take the Oath, can I just go ahead and leave to my home country for about 4-6 months and take an Auth when I am back to US.
The question is: Do I have to take the Oath right after I passed an interview for citizenship ?, or I could do it about 4-6 months later after my trip to my home country? Is there any time limits?

    Waiting, Thanks in advance!

    Exclamation Don't go

If you have a long abscense after the interview you may lose eligibility for naturalization. Then may have to wait a long time 4 years and one day to re-qpply with a new N-400. What's the fee going to be then?

Also, if they send you appointment notices and you miss two ceremonies they will re-open and deny your application as dead and you hacve to start over.

    Don't blow it.

    Bye,
