Question Entering the USA - Green Card lottery Winner

    Hi guys,

So I won the lottery, I went through all the procedures, and now I have immigrating visa valid for 6 months to enter the USA an get my Green Card.

I am flying out from France to go to NYC August 1st with my big brown "do not open" envelop and all of the sudden I am panicking about one tiny little thing.

What will happen at the airport.

I mean I am flying with my luggage and then what? what I definitly need to know is if I am going to have to pay anything further than the money I paid at the French USA Embassy when I met with the American Consul.

I am like really tight on money with the whole changing country thing and I am not sure I can squizz anything more out of my pockets.

I'd appreciate someone who could explain to me the step-by-step events. Oh and while we are at it, how does it work if I need to go back to France for visits?

    Thanks for your help.

    C.

    Default panicking

There is nothing to panick, there are some paperworks and the customary immigration procedure , they wll not even ask you any questions, open the envelope , get your pictures and papers and seal on the passport and then take your finger prints, and let you go free..

next will be your own challenge in the job market, living conditions , where you going to stay and with whom , but above all you need some support from friends and family to get accustomed to this new world. good luck
