H4 visa pending

I got the message that My visa application( H4 )is pending under 221(g), but at the time of interview which was on first week of july , they had not issued any 221(g) form and even said visa is approved.

That means, they decided to do an admin processing after the interview. You will get the passport back after completion of the admin processing.
