I applied online today 7-14-10 for a green card replacement. Mine is 24 years old. I was told last time when entering the US that I would not be allowed back in again without the new card. Will I be contacted by phone/mail about my appointment? My wife and I want to leave the country August 9, 2010 for 5 days. Will I have my new card by then? Can I re-enter with my current green card? How long is the turn around time?
