My friend's daughter (Indian resident) has got admission in a US University for MS course starting from Sept. 2010. She got married on May 28, 2010 to an Indian citizen. The University has sent I-20 form in her maiden name and on this basis she appeared for US Visa interview on 21st May 2010 when she was single. US Embassy has kept her Visa pending by giving her a yellow form and asking details of her work. She has provided the details and she is expecting VISA in about 6 weeks. Kindly let us know how should she inform US Visa office about her changed marital status? What documents should she provide to declare her changed marital status? Will it affect the issue of VISA?
