Opt extension expires on aug 25 2010, filing h1b this week

Hi All.

I am in F1 OPT extension now and my 29 months will be completed this august 25 2010, I am filing my h1b this WEEK , can i work if my H1B is pending.

Yes, you can. Submit the copy of H1 petition receipt to your school DSO and they will add cap-gap notification in your SEVIS record.
