Default Applying for a GC the second time

My I-485 was filed in February by my present company under EB-1 category. I am expecting my GC by about August. However due to some commitment to my friend, I need to join him next month. He has already filed for my H1-B which I will be getting next month. I am aware that after I join this new company, I stand to lose my present GC. I was wondering if this might affect my application of a GC the second time? I'd appreciate an answer.

No I don't think so, it will jeopardize your next GC.
First of all usually companies do not pull out the GC process once the applicant is in final stage, unless you have really bad relations with your manager. But even if they pull it out, you can re-apply.
Rather it would be great, that your priority date will be locked in and you will have advantage.
On a side note, 485 at CSC nowadays take 4 months.
