Oci status inquiry

Respected sir,

I , for OCI card at Nw York consulate office on 22nd july,2010 and it was received there on 27th july. I had also sent my indian passport for cancellation with all required fees. I am USA citizen. But till now I have not received my Indian passport nor no information through online tracking. I am worried about all this. I would greatly appreciate if you can help me in this.

OCI Registration Inquiry

I was helping one of my friend to apply for a OCI card. Today, after so many months Travisa Outsourcing Hou, Inc. sent the file back with a check written to my friend without saying what is missing in the registration form or what is the next step. The file is in Houston, TX. We both live in Oklahoma. Please advise how can we find out what is missing or what is the next step?
