Default Validity of old EAD on new L2

    Hi
My wife was on L2 and got EAD which was approved on my old L1 petition, and valid till 31-may-2011.
Recently we went to india, I got new L1 visa approved, she got new L2 on my new petition.
    my question is :

    1. Is her EAD still valid or she need to apply a new one?

    Thanks in advance
    Him

---- You have to apply for a new EAD since you have changed your employer and her EAD should reflect the new L2

---- If I am wrong I'd like to see that response

EAD is valid for the period of your legal stay in US when it was issued. Once you leave US the EAD becomes invalid. You will need to apply again on your re-entry. You can find a notation like this in your EAD card.

"NOT VALID FOR REENTRY INTO US"

I'm pretty sure "NOT VALID FOR REENTRY INTO US" means the EAD card alone is not enough to enter the country. In other words you still need to have a valid visa to enter. I do not believe the EAD will become invalid if you take a trip outside the country. If you have a multiple entry visa (e.g. E-3D, L2, etc.) then I believe you are OK to re-enter as much as you wish and your EAD will remain valid until the expiry date printed on the EAD card itself or until you lose your E-3D, L2 or whatever status it was originally granted for.
