  • F1 Question

I am in process of applying for F1 visa for my daughter , looking to continue the elementary school in USA, (she , aged 8).
Will I face any problem since her youngest sister is a US citizen ?
I am planning to file F2 for mother afterwards.

Looking for some useful infos ..

    Thnx

Are you talking about I-130 family based category 1 or F1 non-immigrant visa?
F1 student visa is not for elementary school in most cases.
Having USC sister does not affect a family based immigrant visa application.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

F1 student Visa is for students in SEVP approved schools undergoing Post-secondary education.
In limited circumstances it may be given to school students if all the cost of education is borne by the applicant (no Government funding) and if the school is SEVP approved. You may want to contact the school and a nearby consulate. Also, check USCIS and ICE websites.
Only dependents (spouse, children) of F1 students qualify for F2 Visa.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
