I am US born/citizen, my wife Mexican with a US visitor visa since we reside in Mexico most of the time. If we decide to live in the US (due to increasing unrest in Mexico), can we apply for her residency from within the US on her visitor visa? (Rather than go to Juarez consulate for visa with intent of applying for residency)? The visitor visa expires 3/11 and we need to decide what to do (ie renew the visitor visa.)
